TonCut Engine is used for cutting optimization of flat (2D) and linear (1D) materials such as glass, wood, panels, stone, sheet metal, aluminum, fabrics, plexiglass, cardboard, pipes, beams, and many more. It supports both simple rectangular formats and elements with irregular shapes.

What are the system requirements for TonCut Engine?

TonCut Engine does not have special hardware requirements, but the faster the computer, the more variants the program can evaluate, and thus find better solutions. When choosing hardware, it is worth noting that the program uses all available CPU cores, which significantly speeds up the cutting optimization process.

  • CPU – the faster the processor, the faster the program runs. The more cores, the faster the optimization. However, additional cores speed up the program only up to a certain point. Depending on the configuration, 15–40 cores deliver maximum speed. Beyond that, the program will still use all cores, but only to improve the quality of optimization.
  • RAM – the faster the memory, the faster the program runs. If you plan to purchase ultra-fast RAM, make sure that your CPU and motherboard support higher memory speeds.

One requirement to pay attention to concerns the operating system. TonCut Engine is tested on Windows 10, Windows Server 2012 R2, and newer. In practice, this means the program may run on older versions of Windows, but it is not guaranteed.
